Christian Eriksen and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg included but several regulars are not

Kasper Hjulmand has made several changes to Denmark’s squad ahead of the finals next summer

Kasper Hjulmand has opted for familiarity with many of the old guard as Denmark build up to the Euro 2024 finals.

The head coach has named Rasmus Falk and Morten Hjulmand in his 26-man squad for the forthcoming international friendlies against Sweden and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

However, there is no place for Jannik Boesen, Marcus Ingvartsen or Kasper Dolberg, all of whom have been regulars in recent squads.

Christian Eriksen and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are included, despite their struggles for game time at Manchester United and Tottenham respectively.

Denmark reached the semi-finals of last year’s World Cup and will be looking to make a similar impact at Euro 2024.

They will face Finland, Slovenia and Sweden in Group B.
